Fourth Finish &

I love it so!
I love this Ampersand Quilt from Imagine Quilts by my pal Dana Bolyard of Old Red Barn Co.
I love the low volume prints and the little pop of colors making the ampersand.
I love that when you see the quilt up close...
... or all snuggled under it's warmth and crinkly goodness...you don't see the ampersand...
...until you step away.

I love the quilting!
Gave it to my pal and coworker Kathleen to work her long-arming magic....do what you want pal!
She did and it looks fabulous!
I especially love the back...and that aqua binding.
Can you guess I love it?!!

Rainbow Angled Frames...third finish

This top has been hanging around since the beginning of last year when I posted the Angled Frames tutorial on Old Red Barn Co. Quilt Along.
I gave the top to my pal Pat to practice with her new long-arm machine...just have fun Pat!
I do believe she did and I love the all over large stipple...sort of like a jigsaw puzzle!!
It was also my first attempt at machine stitching the binding on the back then turning it on to the front and doing the same thing!  What a brilliant idea...thanks Lynz
Now if this was a special quilt for someone I love then hand stitching would be in order but since this was one of seven tops I made for the tutorial I gave it a whirl!  It think this will be the perfect picnic blanket for me and hubby...when it finally gets warm!!

If you are interested in making your own Angled Frames the tutorial button is there on the right AND you can visit ORBC Quilt Along where there are and always will be free tutorials for your sewing pleasure!:)
Now I need to get working on this little bag o'pleasures!

Wide to Straight

That's what she wanted...
 ....her flared bottoms made narrow.
Done! She can iron them better. I did my part!
Second finish of the first quarter 2015 Finish Along.
I still can't believe it's 2015!!

Rugs of Mug?

First official finish for 2015.
Nothing like a get together with family...sitting around chatting...eating good food...doing a little sewing....that's how to get things done!
There is still time to link up to this year's Finish Along ...other than the fact that this is great inspiration...or a kick in the butt...to get something finish there are also fabulous prizes at the end of each quarter. The more you finish the more your chance to win!
Here is a little peek of something else I finished...but can't show it all to you yet!:)

It's still really cold here...snow is still on the ground and now...ugh...we are expecting freezing rain tonight into tomorrow...
...I want to be here...don't you?:)

Starting 2015 out right!

We have a new hostess for the 2015 Finish Along .  She hales from waaaaay down under!
Adrianne from On the Windy Side.....windy side of New Zealand... has taken over the reins this year!:)  Looking forward to getting to know you better Adrianne!
Here are my finishes for the last quarter 2014...
...it was the first time last year I didn't finish something on my list.
This pickle dish is a carry over and I think it's going to haunt me for a long time as I have decided to hand quilt it...and embrace the fact that none of my points meet! It will also be my first foray into the world of wool batting.  I'm looking forward to that part!:)
2. binding
3. binding
4.  More binding!
5. This one is scary...make her pants slimmer at the bottom...I really don't like altering!
 6. Can you believe this is the beginning of two quilt tops?  I really, really want to get these done this quarter....we'll see!
It's snowing and time for me to get sewing!
